Child maintenance arrears tracker
Written by James Whitfield · Last reviewed 29 October 2026
Enter what was due and the payments actually made, and the tracker lists every due date and payment with a running difference. It is a personal record you can print or download, not an official arrears figure: only the Child Maintenance Service can decide what is owed.
| Date | Type | Amount | Running difference |
|---|
A personal record, not an official debt figure. It adds no interest, fees or enforcement charges.
If payments are being missed
If you use Direct Pay and payments stop, you can ask the Child Maintenance Service to move the case to Collect and Pay, where it collects the money and can take action if payments are not made.
Keep a record of what was due and what arrived, with dates. This tracker gives you that record; it does not add interest, fees or enforcement charges, which only the CMS or a court can set.
Your information
The tracker runs only in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to this website or stored, so it is gone when you close the page unless you download the CSV.

Does this calculate official child maintenance arrears?
